Description:
OmegaPS Publisher integrates the S1000D standard for technical publications into the LSAR and generates skeleton SGML files from which Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP) can be authored. Publisher produces both procedural data modules for maintenance tasks and 2000M compliant Illustrated Parts Data (IPD) data modules.
This course covers the use of the OmegaPS publisher module and the elements of the S1000D standard required by the LSAR. Through practical exercises the course tutors users to create procedural data modules from maintenance tasks and how use the new IPD interface to assign Logistic Control Numbers (LCN) to an illustration or graphic and create IPD data modules

To teach OmegaPS users how to generate S1000D data modules.

The Course Content covers the following topics:
• S1000D elements of
the data module code and their relationship to Def Stan 00-60;
• Activation of the
publisher module and setting publisher preferences;
• Population the
data elements necessary for procedural data module assembly;
• Configuring the
IPD interface and building IPD data modules;
• Assembly and
download of data modules;
• Viewing and
interpreting downloaded SGML data files.
