OVERVIEW OF INTEGRATED LOGISTIC SUPPORT (OILS)
Description:
Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) provides the disciplines for ensuring that supportability and cost factors are identified and considered during the design stage of a system or equipment with the aim of optimising the Whole Life Cost (WLC).

The course provides a top level overview of ILS, why the MOD mandates it, the principal elements and processes involved and the benefits that can be realised.  

Aim:
To provide the delegate with an appreciation of Integrated Logistic Support.

Duration:
1 Day.

Pre-Requisites:
None.

Designed For:
Corporate, Management, Project or Sales personnel with no ILS knowledge.

The Course Content covers the following topics:
        • The need for ILS
        • The origins and concept of Def Stan 00-600, 00-60 & JSP 886 Vol 7;
        • An overview of each ILS element/discipline;
        • The ILS goals;
        • The CADMID process;
        • LSA and LSAR activities;
        • Key issues affecting the implementation of ILS;
