Funded Research & Development

The Keele University Smart Energy Network Demonstrator (SEND) – a European first, is an at scale environment providing a platform that allows energy generation, distribution, storage, forecasting and energy balancing to be intelligently carried out across different energy sources using the Keele University campus as a genuine ‘living laboratory.’ Alongside SEND is a programme of research and development and business assistance which targets Staffordshire business.

Keele University’s Entrepreneur in Residence Annette Shipley, Sharon George, Julian Read and Operations Director of Quorum, Trevor Hirst discussed the benefits to your business by engaging in the sustainable energy research offered by the SEND programme.

The webinar included an open discussion between the panel and contained concise presentations. Quorum are a best practice example of the research programme taking place between Keele University and a small developing business.
